Air Fry Bread Recipe

Enjoy a quick and easy way to make delicious, crispy bread using an air fryer. Perfect for sandwiches, snacks, or as a side to your favorite meal.


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water (approximately)
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp dried herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for extra flavor


  1. Prepare the Dough:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. If using, add the garlic powder and dried herbs.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the olive oil and warm water.
  • Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a bit more water, one tablespoon at a time. If it’s too sticky, add a bit more flour.
  1. Knead the Dough:
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  • Form the dough into a ball and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  1. Shape the Dough:
  • Divide the dough into smaller portions, depending on the size of the bread you want. Typically, you can make 4-6 small rounds.
  • Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten slightly with your hands or a rolling pin to form discs about 1/2 inch thick.
  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  1. Air Fry the Bread:
  • Lightly brush each piece of dough with olive oil on both sides.
  • Place the dough discs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.

  • Remove the bread from the air fryer and let cool on a wire rack.
