  • Onion: 1 large, sliced
  • Carrots: 4, cut into chunks
  • Celery Stalks: 2, chopped

  • Red Wine (optional): 1 cup
  • Tomato Paste: 2 tablespoons
  • Thyme: 1 teaspoon, dried or 2 sprigs fresh

  1. Prepare the Beef:
