Cheesy Dumplings Delight Recipe

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite melting cheese)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped herbs like parsley or chives for garnish


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a smooth dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it’s elastic. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. While the dough is resting, prepare the cheese filling. In a separate bowl, mix together the grated cheese, salt, and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  3. After the dough has rested, roll it out on a floured surface into a thin sheet, about 1/8 inch thick. Use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut out circles from the dough.
  4. Place a small amount of the cheese filling in the center of each dough circle. Be careful not to overfill.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal the dumplings.
  6. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for about 5-6 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
  7. Once the dumplings are cooked, remove them from the water using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess water.
  8. In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the cooked dumplings to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
