  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce

  1. Prepare the Meatball Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the Meatballs:
    • Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm.
    • Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center of the meat.
    • Wrap the meat around the cheese, forming a ball. Ensure the cheese is completely covered by the meat to prevent it from oozing out during cooking.
    • Repeat with the remaining meat mixture and cheese cubes.
  3. Cook the Meatballs:
    • Place the stuffed meatballs in the slow cooker.
    • Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, making sure they are well covered.
    • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through and the cheese is melted.
  4. Serve:
    • Once cooked, gently remove the meatballs from the slow cooker.
    • Serve hot, topped with additional sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.

Enjoy these cheesy, flavorful meatballs on their own, over pasta, or in a sub sandwich!
