Easy Pancake Recipe

Fluffy and delicious, these pancakes are quick and easy to make, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Butter or oil for cooking

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; it’s okay if there are a few lumps. Do not overmix.
  4. Heat Pan: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
  5. Cook Pancakes: Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes more.
  6. Serve: Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh berries, or powdered sugar. Enjoy!

These pancakes are easy to customize by adding blueberries, chocolate chips, or a dash of cinnamon to the batter.
