Fluffy Apple Pie Recipe

A delightful twist on the classic apple pie, this recipe combines the comforting flavors of cinnamon-spiced apples with a light and fluffy pastry crust.

  • 6-7 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package pre-made pie crusts (2 crusts)

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss until the apples are evenly coated with the mixture.
  3. Roll out one pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it gently into the bottom and up the sides.
  4. Pour the apple filling into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apple filling. You can either create a lattice crust or simply place the whole crust over the filling, sealing the edges by crimping with a fork or your fingers.
  6. If desired, brush the top crust with a little milk or egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Using a sharp knife, make a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
  8. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  9. Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve slices of the fluffy apple pie warm, optionally topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy!

This fluffy apple pie is sure to become a family favorite, perfect for any occasion or just a cozy night in.
