Greek Chicken Meatballs Recipe

These Greek Chicken Meatballs are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional meatballs, packed with Mediterranean flavors. Perfect as an appetizer, main dish, or for meal prep.

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, feta cheese, parsley, dill, oregano, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Form the Meatballs: Using your hands or a small ice cream scoop, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, evenly spaced.
  4. Cook the Meatballs: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs in batches, searing them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned all over. Transfer the browned meatballs back to the baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Once all the meatballs are browned and on the baking sheet, place them in the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Serve: Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. They can be served with tzatziki sauce, a Greek salad, or over a bed of rice or quinoa.
