  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  1. Prepare the Ribs:
    • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for more tender meat.
    • Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Make the Dry Rub:
    • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
    • Rub the spice mixture all over both sides of the ribs. Make sure they are evenly coated.
  3. Marinate:
    • Cover the ribs with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  4. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  5. Cook the Ribs:
    • Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Pour the apple cider vinegar and water into the bottom of the baking sheet.
    • Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat easily pulls away from the bone.
  6. Add BBQ Sauce:
    • Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top piece of foil.
    • Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on both sides of the ribs.
  7. Finish the Ribs:
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
    • Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 5
