Salisbury Steak Meatballs Recipe

A delicious twist on the classic Salisbury steak, these meatballs are tender, flavorful, and perfect for a comforting meal.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth and flour until smooth. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the onions, stirring constantly.
  6. Return the meatballs to the skillet, coating them with the onion and broth mixture. Bring to a simmer and cook until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.
  7. Serve the Salisbury steak meatballs hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!
