  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Place beef tips in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle all-purpose flour over the beef. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the coated beef tips into the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the sautéed onion and garlic over the beef in the slow cooker.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, and dried rosemary. Pour this mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
  6. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  7. Cover and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or until beef is tender.
  8. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix 1/4 cup of water with 1/4 cup of flour to make a slurry. Stir the slurry into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
  9. Once the beef is tender and the gravy has thickened, taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  10. Serve the beef tips hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side dish.
