  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 8-10 flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro, shredded cheese

  1. Marinate the Steak: In a large bowl, combine the sliced steak, minced garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, olive oil, and lime juice. Mix well to coat the steak evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  2. Cook the Vegetables: In a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat, add a bit of olive oil. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Steak: In the same skillet, add the marinated steak. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness. Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet and toss everything together to combine.
  4. Warm the Tortillas: In a separate pan or directly over a gas flame, warm the tortillas for about 20-30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
  5. Assemble the Fajitas: Serve the steak and vegetable mixture on warm tortillas. Add your favorite toppings such as sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro, and shredded cheese.
  6. Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your spicy, flavorful steak fajitas
