Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

This refreshing strawberry lemonade is perfect for a hot summer day. It combines the sweetness of strawberries with the tartness of lemons for a delightful and thirst-quenching beverage.

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 5 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
  • Strawberry slices (optional, for garnish)

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Puree:
  • In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and 1/4 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, you can strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds. Set aside.
  1. Make the Lemonade Base:
  • In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  1. Combine the Ingredients:
  • Add the strawberry puree to the lemonade base and mix well.
  • Add the remaining 4 3/4 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir until everything is well combined.
  1. Adjust Sweetness:
  • Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness if necessary. You can add more sugar or a little more lemon juice, depending on your preference.
  1. Chill and Serve:
  • Refrigerate the strawberry lemonade for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the lemonade to chill.
  • When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled strawberry lemonade over the ice.
  1. Garnish (Optional):
  • Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, and strawberry slices if desired.

Enjoy your homemade strawberry lemonade!
