  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create your dry rub.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for maximum tenderness. To do this, use a butter knife to loosen the membrane at one end of the rack, then grip it with a paper towel and peel it off.
  4. Rub the dry rub mixture generously all over the ribs, covering both sides.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meaty side up.
  6. Cover the ribs tightly with another sheet of aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 3 to 3.5 hours, or until the meat is tender and begins to pull away from the bones.
  7. Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
  8. Carefully unwrap the ribs and brush them generously with your favorite BBQ sauce.
  9. Return the ribs to the oven and bake, uncovered, for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  11. Enjoy your mouthwatering pork rib masterpiece with your favorite sides and a cold beverage!
