Sweet Potato Pie Recipe

  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 2 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the lightly beaten eggs, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the sweet potato mixture. Stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
